Which Blackberry® device models can I use with Lingo Mobile?
Any BlackBerry® device running on Operating System (OS) version 4.2 or higher can be used with Lingo Mobile. To find out which OS version you're running on your device, go to Options → About.

What do I do when I am prompted to adjust my Permissions during the Lingo Mobile installation process?
When you begin the download of the Lingo Mobile App, you may be prompted to adjust your Permissions. Choose yes; then press the Back Button to accept and finalize the installation.

Can I install the Lingo Mobile App using the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager on my computer?
Lingo does not recommend installing the Lingo Mobile App using the BlackBerry® Desktop Manager on your computer.

Where can I find the Lingo Mobile App on my Blackberry® device?
It may be found in a few different locations depending on your device and OS version. Most of the time, it can be found in the Main Applications area. If not, it may also be found in the Applications or Downloads Folder.

How do I temporarily disable the Lingo Mobile App?
Click on the Lingo Mobile App icon → click on Options → Select Dialer Settings and uncheck "Enable Call Routing"

How do I uninstall the Lingo Mobile App?
With the Lingo Mobile App icon highlighted, press the Options key and choose "Delete". Accept the prompts and the device will reboot to remove the Lingo Mobile App.

The Lingo Mobile App is NOT routing my calls.
The three most common reasons and solutions are as follow.

  • The call does not fit your set routing patterns.
    Solution: When making a call, you must dial 011 first before your international number.

  • Your "Enable Call Routing" Setting is disabled (under Dialer Settings)
    Solution: Click on the LM app icon, click on Options → select Dialer Settings and uncheck "Enable Call Routing".

  • Your Key Injection (also called Input Simulation) permission is not set to allow.
    Solution: To check your settings: go to Options → Advanced Options → Applications → Highlight Lingo Mobile → Press the Options Button → Edit Permissions (you may need to expand the Interactions Category to view all permissions) and change the setting to Allow.

Are there any special dialing instructions for international calls using Lingo Mobile?
To make an international call, simply dial direct from your Blackberry® device 011+ country code + city code + number.

I am not able to make a Lingo Mobile call.
The common reasons and solutions are as follow:

  • Your data connection fails or is unavailable
    Solution: Contact your wireless provider to make sure you have an active data connection for your device.

  • Weak cellular signal
    Solution: Make sure you are in an area where you have a strong cellular signal to make a call.

I'm having a random issue affecting the performance of the Lingo Mobile App.
Simply reboot your BlackBerry® device. This generally resolves most random issues. If the issue persists, please email us at customercare@lingo.com with the following details:
