Which AndroidTM device models can I use with Lingo Mobile?
Any AndroidTM device running Operating System (OS) version 1.5 or higher can be used with Lingo Mobile. To find out which OS version you're running on your device, go to Settings → About Phone.

Is the Lingo Mobile App available on Google’s AndroidTM Market?
The Lingo Mobile App is not available on Google’s AndroidTM Market and is considered a non-Market application. To ensure successful installation of the Lingo Mobile App, you should enable the installation of non-Market applications under Unknown sources in the Application settings menu (go to Menu → Settings → Applications → and check the box for Unknown sources).

Once the Lingo Mobile App has been downloaded, you will be presented with a list of downloaded files to choose from for installation. Choose the Lingo Mobile App and begin the installation. Accept the prompts to complete installation. Once installed, the Lingo Mobile App can be found in the Main Programs list (look for the Lingo Mobile App icon).

Can I install the Lingo Mobile App on my AndroidTM device directly from my computer?
Lingo does not recommend installing the Lingo Mobile App from your computer.

Where can I find the Lingo Mobile App?
It can be found along with all of your other application icons in your Main Apps Menu.

How do I temporarily disable the Lingo Mobile App?
Select the Lingo Mobile App icon and change the Dialer service enable/disable setting to OFF.

How do I uninstall the Lingo Mobile App?
Go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Select Lingo Mobile and choose Uninstall.

The Lingo Mobile App is NOT routing my calls.
The two most common reasons and solutions are as follow.

  • The call does not fit your set routing patterns.
    Solution: When making a call, you must dial 011 first before your international number.

  • Your "Dialer service enable/disable" setting is turned off.
    Solution:Select the Lingo Mobile App icon and change the Dialer service enable/disable setting to ON.

I am not able to make a Lingo Mobile call.
The common reasons and solutions are as follow:

  • Your data connection fails or is unavailable
    Solution: Contact your wireless provider to make sure you have an active data connection for your device.

  • Weak cellular signal
    Solution: Make sure you are in an area where you have a strong cellular signal to make a call.

I'm having a random issue affecting the performance of the Lingo Mobile App.
Simply reboot your AndroidTM device. This generally resolves most random issues. If the issue persists, please email us at customercare@lingo.com with the following details:
